The KYBBF met in October and discussed the future of the State Fellowship. One of the question that was asked is, "Is there value in what we do?". The answer was unanimous, yes there is value in what we do. Some of the things that were discussed were the need for more communication, and better planning (scheduling) for the meeting. You will find in this newsletter a projected schedule of meetings for the state. This newsletter, in the form of an email, will help us communicate more quickly and better. We will be able to send these emails out with updates or prayer needs that might arise. We also selected the new slate of State Officers for the next term, they are as follows:
Chairman: Tony Christian - Cornerstone Baptist Church, Richmond Vice Chairman: Pat Finley - Grace Baptist Church, Winchester Secretary: Jason Lange - Immanuel Baptist Church, Monticello Treasurer: Derek Holmes - Lexington Baptist Temple, Lexington The vote to ratify the new officers will take place at our next meeting in January, that will be held at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Somerset, KY.

It has been a great couple of years with the Kentucky Fellowship and we are really looking forward to the future. We had a meeting a couple of weeks ago and put forth some great leaders for the Kentucky Fellowship to be ratified in our January meeting. I hope you will attend so we can come together and plan for the future of our state. Also, Kevin Bell, a new pastor in Maysville Kentucky, will be with us speaking about the work he is doing in the north and sharing his heart for the new church plant. We also want to congratulate pastor Eddie Lyons as the new national Baptist Bible Fellowship President. He is a great leader and will make a huge impact in our national direction. Thank you as well for standing with us over these past two years here in Kentucky and lets get involved in our fellowship to make a difference in our state. God bless, Gary Phelps |
